Together for Animals

Together for Animals

We are FIVE charities that work in complimentary ways in the UK and some of the world’s poorest countries to help thousands of animals in desperate need. Each donation you give helps FIVE charities, a unique way of supporting a range of animal welfare charities.

Facts about our job

  • Blue Cross cares for 40,000 pets across the UK each year – and with so many animals still in need of help, want to increase this to 70,000.
  • Every year, across 7 core countries, SPANA’s teams work with almost 400,000 working animals upon which owners and their families rely on for their survival.
  • Nearly all horses, dogs and cats in the UK will have benefitted from the work of the Animal Health Trust in developing diagnostic tests, treatments and vaccines.

Helping Together for Animals means your donation will be shared equally between our five member charities helping animals in desperate need of your help:

The Animal Health Trust – a leading veterinary charity fighting disease and injury in animals through research, education and clinical services.

Blue Cross – thousands of cats, dogs, small pets and horses turn to Blue Cross’s animal hospitals, clinics and rehoming centres for treatment and rehoming.

The Mayhew Animal Home – helps thousands of dogs, cats and other small pets escape a life of cruelty, neglect and abandonment. Through education and community programmes, they work to improve animal welfare within local communities.

SPANA – improves welfare of donkeys, horses, camels and other working animals in some of the world’s poorest communities by providing free veterinary care, training vets and promoting humane care by animal owners.

World Horse Welfare – international horse charity improving the lives of horses through rescue and rehabilitation in the UK, overseas training programmes and campaigning for better welfare standards to bring an end to suffering of horses worldwide.
